Do you take Him at His Word?

Let’s face the facts; abuse, rejection, guilt, shame, and grief will make you believe that the word of the Lord does not apply to you, but it does.

Trouble does not have the power to over-ride the word of God and neither does the evil one.

The bible states, you have a legal right to tread upon serpents and every power of the enemy. The word of God dismantles the claims of the enemy and pressures of life that claim you are worthless, no-good, or even the voice that speaks suicide is the only way out, the enemy is a lie.

The Word of God gives you life and strength. He provides us with the power to overcome every obstacle, and He allows us to take Him at His Word.

In Jeremiah 1:5 it states,

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest out the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

To walk in anything that goes against the word of the Lord would deny the ordinations that the Lord has placed on your life.

God has ordained you.

The Lord knew you before your parents knew you. He knew the issues that you would go through in life. He knew the complications that you would have to face while in the womb. He knew the mistakes that you would make, and while knowing every strand of hair on your head and trouble in your path, He still formed you. He detailed your life. He made you unique.

No matter what situations you are facing with today. No matter what bill is due today. No matter when your divorce was final. No matter when your father walked out of your life. God said you are a prophet unto the nations.

Easier said than believed!

I have to admit I was in a position in my life where I did not know who I was in the spirit, neither in the natural. I was walking around this earth with a lack of understanding of the hands that formed me. I battled within myself, trying to figure out why I made some of the decisions I had made. Why did all these negative situations happen in my life? Why me? Formed me; why?

I did not understand that God had a plan for my life well before my parents could name me.

Although our parents named us, God ordained us.

When God spoke Jeremiah 1:5

He spoke everlasting life, no matter what, if we come unto Him.

Life can be full of surprises and troubles on every side, but it does not negate the fact that God stands on His Word.

If you fail to believe His word, life will drive you down dangerous roads, expecting no return. But, when you make a mistake, God is the God of those who return. You can always return unto Him. His Word does not change just because we do not understand His plans for our lives and go astray.

But, God, said, I, four times in Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest out the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

When you read that scripture, it should give you a sense of worth in your spirit. Because He called you BEFORE you were IN the womb. He was thinking about you as the sperm hit the egg. Your mother’s womb was just a shelter for you to gain strength, power, and security. He sanctified you before the enemy of this world could get a hold of you. That you are holy, with a knowledge of all the unholy situations that you would be faced with.

It does not matter what comes your way. His word is still accurate.

It does not matter who you slept with. It does not matter who left you. It does not matter what job you lost. What matters is that you know;

God is Faithful.

His Word is real.

The bible states that the Lord knew you, which His word voids everything that the enemy is hovering over your life. The overwhelming feeling of rejection. The ideas of loneliness. The acceptance of poverty. The views that go against the word of God.

It’s ALL lies

God has a MAJOR plan for you. You are Worthy in His sight.

To believe that you are less than what God called you is to say the God is a liar,

Do you take Him at His word?

What hinders your belief?

Do you believe Jesus is Lord?

  1. This is so true Tonya. It is comforting to know that God already knew who we were before we ever fell short of His glory. We are who He says we are and not what the world paints us to be.
