No Matter What
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Luke 18:1 KJV
Do you feel like your prayers are hitting the ceiling and falling back down? You are not alone! And if you have not experienced this, don’t faint, life is happening.
We often try to give up before we see results or even hear His voice. We start blaming, settling, and giving up on the prayer request because we need or expect an immediate answer.
Yes, He is an immediate God, but that does not mean you need an immediate response. He is the one that created the sky, the stars, the plants, and even the little pestilent that we see. So yes, I am pretty sure He knows what He is doing.
Think about that for a second or two…….
So why stop praying.
The adversary may seem large, louder, or even faster than you, but YOU are more potent than ever when you apply prayer.
My daughter started running track when she was in elementary school. Time, she had made it to high school; she was very familiar and comfortable with the techniques of running track. She was satisfied with what she had known and seen before, concerning running. But life has a way of changing what we are comfortable with, which often opens the door to fear. Fear can develop from a change in a relationship or a world disaster. Change CHANGE you. Instead of fainting during the changing, pray! When she started running track in high school against boys and girls who were taller, faster, and in a grade level above her, fear encamped her at the first track meet. At the first meet is where the coaches trained her to run fast and hard. I instructed her to pray and not faint. She did not win every track meet, but she developed a No Matter What lifestyle, that states no matter what happens in the world, she will pray and not faint.
You must have a “No Matter What” in your spirit when you experience a disaster, death, tragedy, pain, unfortunate situation, or a new environment. When you don’t give in to fear, you develop a strategy to defeat fear. You overcome fear with praying and faith, not to faint—no matter what circumstances we face. Pray anyway. I promise you that He can hear you.
Prayer: Father, forgive me. Lord, you are a fearless God, and You created me in Your image. Help me to pray no matter what. Lord, show me the path that I shall take. Father, please give me the peace I need to stand in these times of changes.
